Empowering Women and Girls Through Sustainable Menstrual Health Management

The "Women with Wings" project, supported by the Uttar Pradesh Development Systems Corporation Ltd. (UPDESCO), is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering 1000 women and 4000 adolescent girls through comprehensive education on menstrual health and hygiene. In communities where menstruation remains shrouded in stigma, the project works to break taboos by fostering open dialogue through capacity-building workshops and targeted community outreach. The initiative continues to create safe and informed spaces for discussion, dispel harmful myths, and promote sustainable menstrual hygiene practices. A key focus is the introduction and distribution of menstrual cups, emphasizing their environmental benefits and long-term cost-effectiveness.
