SBIF–MUSKAAN

Every child has the right to live in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. SBIF–MUSKAAN is a flagship child protection initiative implemented by Vatsalya with the support of the State Bank of India Foundation (SBIF) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. The project is being implemented across 100 schools and villages in Kakori Block, Lucknow, with the vision of creating child-safe communities free from Child Sexual Abuse (CSA).

The project works to strengthen awareness and implementation of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 by empowering children with personal safety education, building the capacities of teachers, police personnel, parents, and community stakeholders, and strengthening community-based child protection systems. SBIF–MUSKAAN also provides holistic support to child survivors, including medical, legal, psychosocial, and rehabilitation services, ensuring their recovery and reintegration.

Through strong partnerships with government departments, schools, frontline workers, and local communities, the project is creating a sustainable child protection ecosystem where children are empowered to speak up, families are equipped to protect them, institutions respond effectively, and every child can grow with dignity, safety, and confidence.
